“What inspired me to choose this career path because I am obsessed with baseball and it's rather a complicated game to teach. I feel like there is a difference between how we teach the game here and how most people teach the game.”

Jon has loved and been obsessed with baseball his whole life. After his baseball career did not go well he wanted to teach the game he loved to young athletes so they don't go through what he went through. When creating this organization he wanted to build a competitive space where athletes could improve their skills and understand the game while being in the competitive environment.

During Covid-19 there were several changes that happened. The biggest change was that there was a change of location as Jon found a facility where training would take place. They have also had to proceed with safety and covid precautions such as contact tracing, taking temperatures, keep surfaces clean and have masks. Besides that his business hasn’t been impacted yes there were a couple of changes but besides that everything has run smoothly. Business in the future will be different because Jon has a better understanding of how the baseball training market in San Diego and he understands how people want to train. This has affected him positively because people are having a new perspective of how baseball should be played and how players should train. Moving forward the goal of Cutternation is have a train facility that has a competitive atmosphere that pushes athletes to perform at their best and train differently and better than any other facility in San Diego. Cutternation is doing this by implementing new technology to change the way athletes compete and understand that data behind the way they play.
