Verna Cortez is 45 years old and works as an Esthetics Educator and business owner. She has had struggles during COVID but keeps doing what she’s doing because she loves her job.

She does make-up for weddings, dances, etc. she also does lashing, facials, and tattoos eyebrows. She is a teacher at Bellus Academy, helping students learn how to be an esthetician. She has been doing esthetics since 2011.

 

The struggle she faced during covid-19 was that she had to close her business for a while due to safety, so she wasn't able to make money. Then she got a job as an esthetics educator, not just to help get money but to also teach others what she knows. Later on, she was able to open back up again but with extra sanitation precautions and her business is up and running right now. She still teaches at the academy though.
