“I think once everybody is really comfortable, I think we are going to see a bounce-back of love and togetherness [in the workplace] and it’ll feel very similar to what it was before if not, at a higher level.”

Michael Kahn is an attorney by trade that lives and works in San Diego. Confused about what he wanted to study and pursue, he followed the path of life which led him to become an attorney by trade which he has been doing for about 16 years. Before the pandemic hit and changed our lives, Michael’s average workday was very busy with having to delegate and understand effort but to his surprise, the pandemic didn’t affect his way of work.

During the pandemic, Micheal switched workplaces so he got to experience how both businesses functioned during a pandemic. At the first place, he said that it kept functioning like there was no pandemic other than the new office regulations like social distancing, masks, zoom meetings, temperature checks, etc. The difference his current workplace has with his previous one regarding change is that there was less change in the actual business and more change in how the business was being done meaning that many people were asked to work from home.

Even though the pandemic made many changes, Michael is grateful for those changes. When asked about how work will look like after the pandemic he responds with, “the workplace isn’t going to be the same ever again.” but follows up by saying how it won’t be the same because there will be more options to approach certain situations like having zoom meetings instead of in-person, working remotely, taking precautions, and/or having a website to reach more people. “It starts to really open doors up for all kinds of businesses.
